Ours is a pakka arranged marriage. I’m a girl, who loves to be independent. I have been living outside of home since I was 18. I have always been the rebel in my family. My parents raised me to be the strongest in any situation. As usual my parents started looking for matches and registered in matrimonial websites. I had very little belief in arranged marriage because we all know how absurd it can get. That is when I met Vignesh through one of the matrimonial sites. We got on a call, that’s it without us realising we have been ranting for 45 minutes. Two days later we met in a restaurant with our families. We started talking and never stopped since. We were surprised to see how two people can be so similar, yet so different in a beautiful way. We have had very similar life experiences and realised our core beliefs matched. Though we met because of our parents, we fell in love before we decided to get married. We understood each other in ways we never have been understood before. It all fell in place like a puzzle. And just like that we are engaged. Life has never been more peaceful.
